We invite you to take a day for yourself, leave behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life and embrace a day of tranquillity, leaving you deeply connected to yourself and the world around you. Â
The Wild Life has brought together an incredible team of local female experts in their field, with a shared passion to empower and inspire you. Nurture your mind, body and soul on this natural wellness retreat. Experience our woodfired sauna cabin, breathe and stretch through our yoga practice, discover the benefits of breathwork, find the power within through our strength and conditioning class, be inspired by our guest speaker and let go and totally relax with the most blissful massage.
During the day there will be opportunities to explore the beautiful grounds of Pylewell, take time to relax and chat with friends over coffee and enjoy a delicious Mediterranean & Middle Eastern inspired lunch. The day will conclude with a collective gathering on the on their private beach, where you can enjoy a bracing sea dip followed by a sauna and warm toddy by the campfire.

Breathwork & meditation
Conscious breathing is one of the most powerful tools we have to combat the stresses of modern life. Your breath acts like a remote control on your central nervous system. Â So by intentionally engaging with your breath, you can positively influence many aspects of your well-being, reducing stress, enhancing focus and achieving emotional balance. Â There is a deep connection between the way that you breathe and your overall health. Jojo is our Breathwork and Meditation Coach for the day. In the safety and support of her expert guidance you will embark on a transformative journey through your own unique nervous system. Â She will equip you with powerful techniques that allow you to gain greater control over your daily life for more ease and calm amongst the chaos.
Yoga
Our yoga sessions will be led by Grace, a physiotherapist and yoga teacher trained in Vinyasa and Yin. Grace is passionate about holistic health and wellness, empowering people through movement. During her yoga class she will invite you to explore poses and see how they feel in your own body, developing a deeper mind-body connection that hopefully fosters a stronger awareness of yourself, both physically and mentally. Expect some classes that build heat in the body, focusing on physical strength to draw a deeper recognition for your inner strength. Grace will also invite moments of stillness; time to slow down and rest, because balance is key. It’s not ‘I should move’ but ‘I get to move’.
Strength & Conditioning
The importance of strength training for women can’t be overstated, with new research studies emerging every day, people are realising that it can add vitality and longevity to their lives. From weight loss, to better heart health, stronger joints to improved mood and mental health. Claudia, Co-Founder of The Wild Life, launched her women’s only gym, the FiiT Tribe, in 2019 . Passionate about strength training and functional fitness, she believes in the importance of future proofing our bodies, so we can defy convention; getting stronger and fitter as we get older. During the morning you will have the opportunity to join one of Claudia’s Strength & Conditioning classes. Suitable for everyone, with no prior experience necessary, you should leave her session feeling empowered, invigorated and determined to bring some strength training into your life.
Restorative Massage
You will have the opportunity to enjoy a restorative massage focusing on the head, face, neck and shoulders, using Aura-soma essential oils. Reconnecting mind and body, and counteracting the effects of stress and anxiety, this calming but powerful treatment will leave you feeling peaceful & renewed.
Sauna & Ice bath
Sauna.Plunge.Repeat. Nature is the greatest healer, so forget the damp tiled hotel spas and immerse yourself in a Wild Spa experience with Salt Wood Sauna. Locally handcrafted with natural materials, our sauna cabin induces a state of calm, as the stove fire crackles and you gaze through the panoramic window at the magnificent grounds of Pylewell Park. Enjoy the transformative benefits of hot and cold therapy through a relaxing wood fire sauna session and then a restorative plunge into one of the ice baths. Â Come away feeling physically and mentally rejuvenated.
The Sauna will be located on the idyllic setting on the South Lawn during the morning and then will relocate down to the shore-line for a late afternoon session of wild swims, campfire and drinks.
Guest Speaker - Gemma McGuigan BSc, IFMCP, NT (Dip)
Gemma is a regular wellness motivational speaker, one of only 90 fully certified Functional Medicine Practitioners in the UK, and a highly respected nutrition expert. After lunch Gemma will delve into Metabolic Health & Weight Loss from a Functional Medicine perspective, giving you the 360 solution to empower you to take control and fix our broken metabolism. Gemma will empower you to work with your biology not against it and bring your metabolic health back into balance. Gemma will guide you through the biggest obstacles to our metabolic health & how we can address them. Covering topics such as metabolic hormones, our gut microbiome, the importance of muscle as a metabolic organ, blood sugar balance, menopause and how to kick start our metabolism.
